Spruce Grove is a suburban city of about 34,000 people 14 km west of Edmonton on Highway 16. It has a small City Centre, a handful of sights and a rail history tied to the last wooden grain elevator on the CN line west of Edmonton. Most travellers pass through on the way to Jasper or use it as a cheaper bed for Edmonton. One night is enough; two if you want a golf round and the trails.
