Give Ada half a day, not a night, unless you have a reason at Ohio Northern: campus walk, a show at Freed Center, a Polar Bears game.
Ada is a small college village in northwest Ohio built around Ohio Northern University. The campus, its galleries and performance halls, and a handful of Main Street pizza and bar stops are the whole visit. It works as a two-to-three hour leg on a US-30 drive between Lima and Upper Sandusky, or as an overnight if you are here for a game, a concert or a campus event.

Getting around
Ada is small enough to walk: Main Street to campus is about 10–15 minutes on foot. A car or bicycle makes the edges easier, and a car is effectively required to reach Ada at all — there is no passenger rail or bus service into the village. OH-235 runs through town as Main Street; US-30 passes just north.

- No passenger train or intercity bus stops in Ada: the old station building is a landmark, not a stop. Plan on driving.
- Campus buildings, galleries and dining halls keep university hours and close over breaks — check before you build a day around them.
- Winter brings ice, snow and short daylight; summer evenings bring college-age drinking traffic on Main Street.
