Yardley is a small Bucks County borough on the Delaware River, about 30 miles from Philadelphia and 10 minutes from Trenton. Its own sights take half a day; the reason to sleep here is the SEPTA West Trenton line and the short drive to New Hope, Doylestown, Sesame Place and the river outfitters. Two nights covers the town and one day trip; a car makes the rest of Bucks County reachable.

SEPTA's West Trenton line stops in Yardley and runs to Center City Philadelphia in about 50–60 min, useful for a car-free day.
