Billund is a town of about 6,000 people built around the Lego company: Legoland, Lego House and the Lalandia resort sit within walking distance of each other, and the airport is Denmark's second-busiest. There is no railway station, so you arrive by air, bus or car. Two nights covers the parks without rushing; one night is enough if you only want Lego House.

The centre, Lego House, Legoland and Lalandia are within about 2 km of each other and walkable in 15–30 min; local buses and taxis cover the airport run. There is no train station — buses to Vejle, Kolding, Horsens and Grindsted leave from the centre and the airport.

Safety

Very safe; the real risks are pickpocketing at Legoland in peak season, queues and heat in the waterpark, and cyclists on shared paths. Emergency 112.
  • No railway station: plan the bus to Vejle (about 30 min) or a car.
  • Legoland is largely closed Nov–Mar; check dates before booking flights.
  • Lego House limits visitors per day — book a timed slot a few days ahead.
