Altavas
Skip Altavas unless you have a specific reason to visit (caves, waterfalls, or visiting family). It's a quiet, rural town with limited tourist infrastructure — a half-day stopover at most, en route between Kalibo and other Aklan towns.
Altavas is a small, peaceful municipality in Aklan, best known for its caves and waterfalls. It has no major tourist attractions, limited accommodation, and few dining options. Most travellers pass through on the way to Kalibo, Boracay, or other Aklan destinations. A visit is worthwhile only if you're interested in off-the-beaten-path nature spots or have local connections.

Getting around
Tricycles are the main local transport. The town is small enough to walk between the Poblacion and nearby barangays. For caves and waterfalls, you'll need a tricycle or private vehicle — roads are mostly concrete or asphalt.
