Muang Long
Go for a 2–3 day trekking stop between Muang Sing and Xieng Kok; the town itself is quiet, but the Akha and other minority villages are the draw.
Muang Long is a small district capital in northern Laos, 45 km west of Muang Sing and 35 km east of Xieng Kok. The town has few sights of its own, but it is the base for multi-day treks into Akha, Tai Lue, Hmong and Lahu villages. Most visitors come for 2–3 days of trekking, then move on.
