Bodrum is a mass-market Aegean resort built around a Knights Hospitaller castle and a working marina, on a peninsula with a dozen beach villages. Dolmuş minibuses fan out from the downtown city bus station and the Yeni Otogar; most routes run roughly 07:00–22:00 and cost a few lira. The centre is walkable. Taxis are metered but agree the fare before long runs. Car hire helps for the far peninsula, but parking in the centre is tight in summer.
