Yeruchamירוחם
Half a day to a full day: see the Large Crater, walk the lake, then move on. Not a base for the Negev.
Yerucham is a small desert town in the Negev, best known for the Large Crater (HaMakhtesh HaGadol) and a shallow lake park. Most travellers stop for a few hours on the way to Mitzpe Ramon or Sde Boker. The town itself has limited sights and services; plan a half-day visit or a single night if you want to hike the crater trails.
