Diamond Valley is Alberta's newest town, formed in 2023 when Black Diamond and Turner Valley merged across the Sheep River. It is a foothills stop, not a destination in itself: a gas-plant historic site, a distillery, a brewery, a gallery and horseback trails, all within 10 minutes of each other. Most visitors come from Calgary for a half day or one night on the way to Kananaskis.

Getting around
A car is effectively required: sights sit 2–5 km apart with no useful local bus. Highway 22 (Cowboy Trail) runs through both halves and Highway 7 links east to Okotoks. Parking is free and easy. Taxis are limited; check locally if you plan to drink.
