Negara
Spend half a day in Negara for buffalo races and Rambut Siwi temple; add a night if you stay at Wira Pada Hotel or Cahaya Matahari Bungalows.
Negara is a small coastal town in West Bali, mainly a transit point between Denpasar and Gilimanuk. Its attractions are modest – buffalo races, a cliff‑top temple, Bugis houses and colourful fishing boats – but they give a glimpse of rural Balinese life away from the tourist crowds. One night is enough for the sights; longer stays suit adventure‑seeking trekkers or those using the town as a base for West Bali National Park.
