Aragalur is a small village in Tamil Nadu, 70 km from Salem, known for its medieval temples — Sri Kamanada Eswar, Solesvara and Karivarada Raja Perumal. There is also a 6-foot Buddha statue in nearby Thiaganoor. The village is walkable and has a Wednesday farmers' market. Most travellers use it as a brief detour between Salem and Yercaud.
