Stay 1 night only if you are here for the Mercedes plant, a trade fair or a cheap bed near Stuttgart: the old town is 2 hours, not a weekend.
Sindelfingen is a working city of about 65,000 next to Böblingen, 30 minutes by S-Bahn from Stuttgart. Almost everyone is here for the Mercedes-Benz plant, the Messe or an airport-adjacent bed. The timber-framed old town, the Martinskirche and the Sommerhofenpark fill a half day; the rest of the region is day-trip country.
