Queenstown is a small inland service town on the N6, roughly midway between the Eastern Cape coast and the interior, and the last place with a full set of fuel, banks and beds before the long empty stretches in either direction. Its own draw is thin: a handful of guesthouses, a wine estate 30 km out that takes tastings by appointment, and a grid of streets that is pleasant enough for an evening walk. Treat it as a road-trip waypoint, not a destination.
