Half a day is enough: walk the meadow, see the lake and temple, then return to Dalhousie or Chamba for the night.
Khajjiar is a small hill station in Himachal Pradesh, known for its circular meadow ringed by deodar forest and the Dhauladhar range. The main attractions — Khajjiar Lake, the Khajjinag temple and the short Dainkund trek — can be seen in a few hours. Most visitors come as a day trip from Dalhousie (about 30 min drive) or Chamba (about 1 h).
