Nibong Tebal is a small Penang mainland town known for firefly-watching on Sungai Kerian, seafood and a quiet pace. Most visitors come for a sunset river cruise and dinner, then return to Butterworth or George Town. The town has a train station and is 20 min from Butterworth by road.
