Ranipur
Ranipur is a 2–3 hour stop on the N-5 Highway: see the shrine of Sachal Sarmast and the old city gates, then continue to Sukkur or Khairpur. Not a base.
Ranipur is a small city of about 40,000 in northern Sindh, best known for the richly decorated shrine of Sufi poet Sachal Sarmast (1739–1827) and a handful of historic gates. It sits on the N-5 National Highway, about 65 km from Sukkur. Most travellers pass through in half a day on the way between Sukkur and Khairpur or Nawabshah.
