Barakar
Barakar is a half-day stop for the Begunia temple complex, best combined with Asansol or Maithon. Not a base.
Barakar is a small town on the Barakar River at the Jharkhand border, known for the Begunia group of Odisha-style temples. The town itself is industrial and offers little else for visitors. Most travellers stop here for an hour or two on the way to Asansol, Maithon or Garh Panchkot.
