Skip Minle unless you are passing through in July: the rapeflower fields are worth a 2-hour stop, but the town has little else for a foreign traveller.
Minle is a rural county in Gansu, best known for its rapeflower fields in July, set against the Qilian Mountains. The town itself is small and the rest of the year offers limited attractions. Most travellers use it as a brief stop between Zhangye and Xining, not a destination.
