Circleville is a small Pickaway County seat on the Scioto River, about 40 minutes south of Columbus on US 23. Its draw is the Pumpkin Show each October, a handful of 19th-century buildings and mound sites nearby. Most travellers see it in a few hours or use it as a cheap bed between Columbus and Chillicothe.

Getting around

A car is the practical choice: downtown is compact but the parks, mounds and fairgrounds sit outside it. US 22 forms Main Street through downtown; US 23 runs north–south just west of it. Parking on downtown streets is free or cheap. No useful local bus for visitors.
