Misawa is a small city in Aomori prefecture centred on its airport and military base. The main attractions – aviation museum, Miss Veedol Beach and Swan Lake – fit into a half‑day, but the surrounding nature (Hakkōda mountains, Lake Ogawara) warrants a full day if you like outdoors.
