Correia Pinto
Skip unless you have a specific reason (paper mill business, rappelling at Cerro Pelado Falls, or a stop on BR-116). Half a day is enough.
Correia Pinto is a small pulp-and-paper town of 15,000 people in the Serrana region of Santa Catarina. It sits on BR-116 between Lages and Curitibanos. The main draw is the 30 m Cerro Pelado Falls, popular with rappellers. Most travellers pass through without stopping.
