Chute-aux-Outardes is a small municipality on the Manicouagan Peninsula, on the west bank of the Aux Outardes River just upstream from Baie-Comeau. It is a road stop on Route 138 rather than a destination in itself: a former hydroelectric station, a short heritage trail, beaches and a handful of services. Most travellers pass through in an afternoon or sleep one night before continuing along the North Shore.
