Mundau
Go for 2 nights if you want absolute calm and empty beaches; skip if you need restaurants, nightlife or reliable internet.
Mundau is a fishing village on the west coast of Ceará, 140 km from Fortaleza. It has no bank, no ATM and few restaurants. The draw is quiet: long walks on sand, a river cruise and a sunset that locals gather for. Most travellers pair it with Flecheiras or use it as a stop on a buggy route west.
