Lakhisarai is a small pilgrimage town in Bihar's Magadha region, known for the Ashokdham Shiva temple complex and the Shringri Rishi Dham temple with its hot spring. Most travellers stop here for a few hours on the way between Patna and Bodh Gaya or Rajgir.
