Orangeville is a town of about 29,000 an hour's drive north of Toronto, the commercial hub of Dufferin County. Its own draw is small — a walkable Broadway downtown, a 273-seat theatre in the old town hall, and 54 tree sculptures along the boulevards — but it sits at the door of Mono Cliffs Provincial Park, Hockley Valley and the Niagara Escarpment, which is why most travellers sleep here rather than in Toronto.

Getting around
The centre is small enough to walk: Broadway and First Street is the main crossing, and Highway 10 runs along the east side. Orangeville Transit runs three routes meeting at the Fourth Avenue transfer point every half hour (at :15 and :45), Monday–Friday 07:15–20:45 and Saturday 07:15–18:15, with no Sunday or holiday service; fares are fare-free at least until 21 July 2027. A car is the practical choice for Mono Cliffs, Hockley Valley and the Cheltenham Badlands.
