Akhty is a small mountain village in southern Dagestan with a historic quarter, a fortress, two museums and mineral‑spring health resorts. It is reachable by bus from Makhachkala (3–4 h) and has limited services, so a half‑day to one full day is enough unless you plan a spa stay.
