Rahat
Half a day is enough to visit the market and eat; base in Beer Sheva and make a morning trip.
Rahat is the largest Bedouin city in the world, founded in 1972. It offers a market with traditional handicrafts, inexpensive shawarma and knafeh, and a glimpse of Bedouin urban life. Sights are few; most visitors combine it with a stop at the Museum of Bedouin Culture near Kibbutz Lahav.
