Ponte Vedra Beach is a residential seaside community on Florida's First Coast, between Jacksonville Beach and St. Augustine. It is built around golf — the PGA Tour and The Players Championship are based at TPC Sawgrass — plus a long stretch of dune-backed sand. There is no downtown grid of bars and shops, so most visitors come for a resort stay, a round of golf or a beach day, and drive everywhere else.
