Peace Country is the farmland belt along the Peace River in northwest Alberta — the northernmost sizeable agricultural area in North America, with bison, honey and boreal forest around it. It is not a sight-per-day region: it is a long-drive region. Come if you are already heading up Highway 43 toward the Alaska Highway or Fort McMurray, or if you want the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum and Lesser Slave Lake. Without a car, skip it.
