Pak Chongปากช่อง
Stay 1 night (or 2 for a relaxed park visit) and use Pak Chong as the base for Khao Yai National Park; total 1‑2 days.
Pak Chong is the gateway town to Khao Yai National Park, less than 200 km from Bangkok. A night here lets you catch early park buses and avoid a rushed day trip. Trains from Bangkok take 3‑3.5 h; minivans from Nakhon Ratchasima take 1‑2 h. Most visitors spend a night and a half to explore the park and the town’s small market and cafés.
