Northern BC is half the province and almost none of its population: settlements sit on Highway 16 (the Yellowhead) or in the Peace River country, and everything between is forest, mountain and water. Distances are the trip. Fly into Prince George or Prince Rupert and drive one corridor one way, or take the Jasper–Prince Rupert train if you want the scenery without the wheel. Two weeks is the honest minimum for coast plus Peace; five to seven days covers one corridor.
