Nefta is a small oasis town near the Algerian border, the spiritual centre of Sufism in Tunisia. Its main draw is the oasis itself and the calm atmosphere, but Tozeur has far more hotels, restaurants and transport connections. Most travellers see Nefta as a side trip from Tozeur.
