Nature's Valley is a small village wedged between the Soutrivier, the Tsitsikamma Mountains, the Indian Ocean and the Grootrivier lagoon, and it sits inside the Tsitsikamma National Park. There is no airport, no rail station and almost no public transport, so you need a car or a lift in. Most people come for two things: walking the coast and swimming in the lagoon.

Getting around
Walk. The village is small and the beach and lagoon are on foot. Everything else — The Crags, Bloukrans Bridge, Storms River — needs a car; there is no local bus. Minibus taxis run from Plettenberg Bay to Kurland, then you walk or hitch the last stretch.

Safety
- No fuel, no ATM and limited shops in the village: fill up and draw cash in Plettenberg Bay or Storms River.
- The lagoon bans powerboats and beach buggies; canoes and sailing only.
- Baboons and bushpig raid bins and bags: keep food inside and doors closed.
- Snakes, spiders and ticks are present in the fynbos and forest; wear shoes on trails.
