Skip unless you need the county seat for business or a quiet stop on the Olympic Peninsula loop: half a day covers the courthouse and a walk.
Montesano is the small county seat of Grays Harbor, set on the Chehalis River. Its main draw is the 1911 courthouse and a quiet downtown. Most travellers pass through on US 12 between Aberdeen and Olympia, or use it as a base for fishing on the Wynoochee River. One hour is enough to see the courthouse; the town itself has no major attractions.
