Kasur is a half-day trip from Lahore for the Ganda Singh Wala border ceremony and Baba Bulleh Shah's shrine; not a base.
Kasur sits on the India–Pakistan border about 55 km south of Lahore. Its main draw is the daily flag-lowering ceremony at Ganda Singh Wala and the shrine of the Sufi poet Baba Bulleh Shah. The town itself is small and dusty; most visitors come from Lahore for a few hours and return the same day.
