Give Kampot 2–3 nights: one day for the river and pepper farms, one for Bokor or Kep. Stay near the riverside.

Kampot is a small riverside town in southeast Cambodia, about 148 km from Phnom Penh, known for pepper farms, durian and the road up Bokor Mountain. Most visitors stay 2–3 nights and use it as a base for Kep and the Cardamom and Elephant Mountains. The town is compact and flat, so you can walk or cycle around the centre.
