Echmiadzin, Armenia's fourth-largest city and seat of the Armenian Catholicos, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its five listed monuments sit within walking distance of each other, so a 4–6 hour visit from Yerevan covers the cathedral, the Treasury and the three martyr churches. Sleep here only if you want a slow morning or an early start toward Armavir.
