The Bajío is Mexico's silver belt: a ring of colonial cities 1.5–3 hours apart by frequent first-class bus, plus two airports (BJX, QRO) that take US flights. It is not a beach region and not a single destination. Pick one base for 3–4 nights, add one or two cities by bus, and skip Zacatecas unless you have checked current advisories.
