The Annapolis Valley is a farming trough between two ridges along the Bay of Fundy, about an hour west of Halifax on Route 101. Apples, wine and Acadian history are the draws. Wolfville is the walkable base with Acadia University, restaurants and Grand-Pré next door; Kentville is the practical mid-valley base; Annapolis Royal at the west end is the historic stop. A car makes the valley work; without one you are tied to Kings Transit timetables.
