New Brunswick is a drive-through province that rewards two or three nights if you time the tides. The Bay of Fundy coast (Hopewell Rocks, Fundy National Park, Saint John) is the reason to stop; the Acadian northeast and the Miramichi are a second, quieter trip. Most star attractions close soon after Labour Day, so a September visit means fewer open doors.

Driving is the only practical way to see the province; intercity roads are lightly used even in summer, but winter storms can close the Trans-Canada link to Nova Scotia.
Many attractions shut soon after Labour Day (first Monday in September); fall weather stays fine into October but options thin out.
Summer weekends book out; if you follow the Trans-Canada without a reservation, the nearest free room can be hours away.
Speed limits have no official tolerance; RCMP patrol and tickets are issued above the posted limit.
