Zhovkva is a small Renaissance town 30 km north of Lviv, built around a market square and a castle. Its main sights — the square, the castle, two cathedrals and a ruined synagogue — fill 3–4 hours on foot. Most travellers come as a half-day trip from Lviv by bus or train.
