Tsuru
都留市
Skip Tsuru unless you want to see the Maglev test track at 500 km/h; otherwise it's a quiet commuter town with little else for a traveller.
Tsuru is a small city in the foothills of Mount Fuji, known mainly for the Yamanashi Prefectural Maglev Exhibition Center where the Linear Chuo Shinkansen test train passes at 504 km/h. Beyond that, the city has limited attractions for tourists and is best visited as a short stop between Otsuki and Fujiyoshida.
