Getting across

  • Taxi from Livingstone to the Zambian post (about 15 min), walk or taxi across the bridge, and taxi into Victoria Falls town.
  • Day-trip transfers between the towns.

Scams and traps

  • Street money changers offering too-good rates in fake or out-of-use notes.
  • Vendors on the bridge pressing 'free' gifts, then demanding payment.

Tips

  • You can walk to the bridge's middle for the view without formally entering the other country: ask for a bridge pass (check).
  • Carry US dollars in small notes.
