Thompson-Okanagan is BC's dry interior: a semi-arid valley of lakes, orchards and over 100 wineries, plus the Thompson River corridor around Kamloops. Distances are long and buses are thin, so a car turns the region from two towns into a loop. Sleep in Kelowna for wine and lake days, in Kamloops for a Highway 1/5 stopover and ski hills, or in Salmon Arm for Shuswap Lake boating.
