Southeastern New South Wales is three separate trips wearing one name: the Sapphire Coast beaches around Merimbula and Eden, the Eurobodalla coast around Batemans Bay and Narooma, and the Snowy Mountains inland. Public transport is thin, distances are longer than the map suggests, and the mountains are the coldest part of the state. Choose a zone, base once, drive day loops.

- Mild summers, but coastal winter and shoulder-season nights drop to single digits and can feel colder than the numbers suggest. Rain falls any month.
- Snowy Mountains
- The coldest part of New South Wales; sub-zero days are normal in winter. Snow on trails above about 1,600 m roughly June–October.
Coast is a summer and shoulder-season trip; the mountains split into green season (Dec–Apr walking) and ski season (Jun–Oct). Pack for cold nights in every zone.
