South Korea has one dominant long-haul gateway and a handful of regional ones. Incheon (ICN) sits on Yeongjong Island west of Seoul and handles nearly all flights from North America, Europe, the Middle East and Oceania. Gimpo (GMP) is the older city airport, now mostly short-haul Asia and the busy domestic hop to Jeju. Gimhae (PUS) serves Busan and the south-east. Landing time matters more than airport choice. The AREX train and the subway stop around midnight, so a flight arriving after about 22:00 leaves you with a taxi or a night bus. If your only option lands at 23:30, either book a hotel near the airport for the first night or accept the taxi fare.
From ICN, the AREX express runs non-stop to Seoul Station in about 43 minutes, with the all-stop train taking about 1 h. From GMP, the same line reaches Seoul Station in about 30 minutes. From PUS, the Gimhae light rail connects to the Busan subway at Sasang, then onward to Seomyeon and Haeundae. From CJU, buses and taxis reach Jeju City in 10–20 minutes.

Book the AREX or airport bus in advance only if you are arriving in a peak holiday window; outside those dates you can buy at the station. T-money cards work on the AREX all-stop train, the subway and buses, and you can top up at convenience stores in the terminal.
If you have a tight connection between ICN and GMP, allow at least 4 hours door to door; they are on opposite sides of the city. For domestic flights to Jeju, Gimpo is far more convenient than Incheon.
