Singapore in April: what to expect

April sits in Singapore's inter-monsoon window, between the end of the northeast monsoon and the start of the southwest one. Build the day around the rain. For a first trip, three to four nights on one island with a bed near an MRT line is the standard plan, and April suits it: no festival closures, no holiday crush. Hawker centres are the cheapest and best food option and are unaffected by the season.
