Simunjan
Visit Simunjan for a half‑day outing; stay only if you need a base for the coal‑mine trek (overnight optional).
Simunjan is a small Sarawak town on the road between Serian and Sri Aman. Its attractions – the historic coal‑mine ruins, river boat ramp and local market – are within walking distance, so a half‑day is enough. Overnight stays are useful only for early‑morning mine trips or if you are using Simunjan as a stopover to Sri Aman.
