Silesian Voivodeship is Poland's industrial south: a dense cluster of cities 20–40 minutes apart by train, plus uplands and spa towns to the south. It is not a first-trip region, but it is a strong 2-night add-on if you want mining heritage, underground tours and Jasna Góra without the Kraków crowds. Sleep in Katowice, ride the trains, and treat the smaller towns as half-day trips.
