Sedan is a 1-hour stop on a Southeastern Kansas road trip: see the Emmett Kelly Museum, walk Main Street, then move on. Not a base.
Sedan is a small town in Chautauqua County, best known as the birthplace of tramp clown Emmett Kelly. The main draw is the Emmett Kelly Museum in the old opera house. Most travellers pass through on US-166 or K-99, spending under an hour before continuing to Independence, Baxter Springs or Galena.
